This Privacy Policy explains how House of Horses Helsinki processes personal data when you shop in our online store, subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise interact with us. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the Finnish Data Protection Act (1050/2018).

2. What personal data we process

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address
• Order data: products purchased, order history, payment method, delivery method, returns and refunds
• Customer account data: login details and saved preferences
• Communication data: messages to customer service, product reviews, survey answers
• Marketing data: newsletter and SMS consent, email and SMS engagement (opens, clicks)
• Technical and browsing data: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, products viewed, cart activity, approximate location, cookie identifiers
• Company details for business customers: company name, business ID, contact person

We do not store full card numbers. Payments are processed by our payment service providers.

Our partners process data on our behalf under data processing agreements, or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some partners, such as Shopify, Google, Meta and Klaviyo, may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States and Canada. Such transfers are protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with additional safeguards where needed.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted, unless we must keep it by law
• restrict processing in certain situations
• receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability)
• object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time
• withdraw your consent at any time

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing. With your consent, we use your browsing and purchase data to show relevant products and advertising.

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures, such as access controls, encrypted connections and limited access rights. Only persons who need the data for their work can access it.
